The Ettelsberger Cable Car is a very new top modern cable car with 8 seats per car. During the ride you enjoy a marvelous view over Willingen and its surroundings. No matter if you are heading for the top of the Ettelsberg for hiking, mountainbiking, skiing or to party - it's always outstanding.

There are many things to see from the top of the mountain. From the Hochheideturm you have a magnificent view over the Sauerland. For wanderers many walks begin in the Höhenwandergebiet with the nature resort Hochheide (high heath). The bicyclists start from here to the freeride and downhill routes. In the winter one may enjoy wonderful ski-runs of up to 2 km in length on snowed slopes and the cross-country ski run network begins directly at the top station. To the Kyrillpath it's only a few minutes by foot and the new mountain lake is nice place to rest. Those who like to party mustn't miss a visit at the Ettelsberghütte.

A visit at the Lagunen - Erlebnisbad is a must. Especially for families the big slide park, the waterfall, the rain grotto, waterkanons and many more are great fun. Two indor and two outdoor pools as well as a big sauna world offer much variety. With a rich supply the Caribbean-Bar takes care of your appetite.

The ice rink is pure fun for all ice skating fans. The rink is open from the end of Juli until Easter. Ice disco every Wednesday from 7 pm on.

In the summer the open air swimming pool in Usseln is famous destination. It offers many atractions like a 3 metre diving platform or a nice slide into the cool water.

In the glassblowing you get an impression of the colourful world of glassblower's art. Children - with assistance - may blow their owen glass bead.

Every Saturday paragliding beginner courses commence at the aviation school Willingen. Become a paragliding pilot and experience Willingen from a very different perspective.

Another showplace is the high rope course near the Mühlenkopfschanze. This way of climbing is a whole new challenge.

Freeclimbing opportunities you find at the Hochheideturm on the Ettelsberg and at the Adlerhorst of the Mühlenkopfschanze. Who isn't aiming that high will find pleasing challenges at the indoor climbing wall.

The Mühlenkopfschanze isn't worth a visit only for the ski-jumping. With the cable railway and the elevator one can drive up to the Adlerhorst. Guided visitations are beeing offered regularly.

On a guided tour through the Willinger Brewery the master brewer explaines to you the professional manufacture of beer according to the German purity law. Afterwards you are of course welcome to have a pint.

The Milkmuseun in Usseln is the biggest of its kind in Germany. Here, you learn everything about milk, butter and other milkproducts. Every guest may prove his/her milking qualities or produce some selfmade butter.

The new Curioseum presents a rich collection of vintage cars.

The toboggan run offers fun on 700 m long runs and is equally famous among the old and the young. For aditional entertainment there is a big playground and a trampoline site.

The open-for-visits mine "Grube Christine" is one adventure for old and young. On relaxation therapy in the gallery one can refuel energy.

About 70 different species and 250 animals in total are living in the wildlife and leisure park at the Ettelsberg. Among them are game, exotic animals such as Barbary apes and parrets as well as brown bears. In the game reserve, fairy tale forest, amusement park, dinosaur park, hunting museum and on the nature trail there is much to discover and marvel at. A special event are the daily bird-of-pray-shows accompanied by the professional falconer.

The go-cart and bowling center is another attraction for your holiday in Willingen. Especially children love the thrilling race.
